How to use Movavi Video Editor
Step 1: Add Media
Download and MVE, run the program installation file and follow the installation instructions. In the start window, select Create project in full feature mode;
On the Import tab click Add Media. In the Explorer dialog that opens, select the necessary files and click Open. My Files tab opens with the files you just added.
You can add 3D or DVD by clicking on the button on Import tab. If you later want to add other files, you can return to this step at any time.
Step 2: Place the clips on the pasteboard
To add files from the collection to your future video, you need to place them on the pasteboard as you need;
To add a file to the pasteboard, open the My Files tab and use the mouse to drag the video clip to the timeline (indicated as a film icon on the left) at the bottom of the editor window;
To add audio, drag and drop audio recordings onto any of the audio tracks on the pasteboard (marked asa musical note icon). The length of objects placed on the pasteboard (video clips, images, audio recordings, etc.) displays their duration comparing to the time scale at the top of the pasteboard.
To change the sequence of video, audio and other media files in a movie, click on the clip you want and, keeping the mouse button, drag the clip to the location you need.
Step 3: Cut, crop, and rotate
Cutting the video into pieces:
a. On the pasteboard in Timeline mode (default mode), highlight the clip you want to cut. Set the scroll slider to the point, at which the clip should be cut. Use the zoom tool to specify the desired time accurately;
b. Click the Cut button on the toolbar. The clip will be cut into two pieces at the specified location.

a. To apply an effect to a clip, select the Effect icon and drag it onto the desired clip on the pasteboard;

Step 5: Add Transitions

a. To open the transition library, click the Transitions button. Click the transition icon to see its animation in the viewing area. To apply the selected transition to your video, drag the transition icon onto the pasteboard between the clips you need;
b. On the pasteboard, transitions look as small rectangular hooks between clips. You can move the transition to any place on the timeline by dragging its icon with the mouse. To arrange the transition, make a right click and choose Delete. You can also select the transition on the pasteboard and press the Delete button.
Step 6: Add Titles
Tittles allow you to add various text information, such as: subtitles, photo captions, or any other.
a. Click the Tittles button to open the library. You can select animated or static (simple) captions in the left column;
b. Click on the icon of your favorite caption to view the style or animation. After choosing, click the Add button. The selected titles will appear on the title track of the pasteboard as a green bar, and the settings panel for the selected title style will open on the title tab;
c. Enter the desired text in the field and adjust the font settings;
You can adjust the time of titles appearing and duration by changing the length and location of the green block of titles on the title track relative to the time scale. Drag the caption block to the desired location to determine when the captions appear. To change the duration of captions, drag the right or left edge of the block with the mouse.
Step 7: Save the Movie
